Eye and ear protection are required. Rifles must be unloaded and either flagged or with the bolt removed at all times except when shooting. The gates open at 7:30 am for registration, set-up, and safety meeting, and shooting begins at 8:30 am.
There will be matches for Target rifles and Sporter rifles. The Sporter class rules allow most commonly-owned rifles. So, bring what you have and hone your precision shooting skills.
Rimfire BR events are for 22 Long Rifle and 22-caliber air rifles, using standard velocity ammunition only. There are matches for rifles with a scope and unmagnified sight. Target class is essentially unrestricted – typically heavy rifles, any scope or aperture sight, mechanical rests, and premium ammunition. Sporter class is restricted to equipment with definite sporting character and has a long-range shooting component. Sporter rifles must have repeater action, scope magnification is limited, and the front rest must be a bipod or simple bag. Sporter class will shoot a spec ammunition provided at the event. Target Class matches are at 50 and 100 yards, and Sporter Class matches at 50, 100, and 150 yards. The entry fee is $3 for Target Class and $15 for Sporter Class (which includes the ammunition).
